Why is color using intent attribute not working on some mobile devices?

For example I have a submit button on a form with intent="workflow-primary" which typically shows our teal color, but is showing as gray/black instead.

<q2-btn intent="workflow-primary" id="btnSubmit" onclick="submitForm()" block disabled>
      Approve
</q2-btn>

Hello Alan,

Can you try deleting and reinstalling it to clear any cached data? Also - which app are you using?

Hi Kelsey,
I will need to go to the user for more information. As far as I know they are using our production app.

Thanks for the response Alan,

I'm unable to reproduce on my side, using one of my extensions, but another developer experienced something similar a few weeks ago and it turned out to be some kind of CORS issue. However, he's out for a few days, so I'm not able to ping him to see how he fixed it.

Do you have your code pushed up somewhere that I can take a look?

Thanks,
Kris

Good morning Alan,

When you say that the button is showing up gray/black, does it look like one of the attached screenshots? If so, that's indicative that the theme properties are not being loaded and injected into the iframe. A couple of questions to help move forward:

  • Can you tell me what mobile devices you are experiencing this issue with?
  • Are you experiencing this in the mobile browser or the compiled mobile app?

Good morning Kristopher,

Yes, that is correct about the coloring. The device examples I was told were the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max and they were using the mobile app not the browser. Let me know if you need any further details and thanks for any help in advance.

Hey Alan,

I pulled down the relevant code onto my machine and wasn't able to reproduce the issue on my iPhone or using the iOS Simulator. Do you know which stack/environment you are running this from when you experience this issue?

Thanks,
Kris

Hi Kris,
This is in our production environment. I will go back to the user to see if I can get more information. Thanks for looking into this.

Thanks Alan. While you get that information, if this is the production environment, can you tell me what FI this is for?
