Chat widget extension configuration

👋 Hi, amazing team!
I am working on this issue now

  1. I still have a little doubt about the first question. When we develop an extension, we use WEDGE_ADDRESS_CONFIGS to write the configuration in the extension.py file of the extension. Is the value configured here just the initial value of the configuration?

  2. When a tenant installs my extension, how should it customize the configuration of the extension (such as apikey)? Does each tenant that installs this extension need to overwrite these configurations in its own database?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

  1. The config is the default value. The actual value that your extension uses is from the database of wherever the request is coming from.
  2. I wouldn't refer to it as overwriting it, but on install you would ask Q2 to write a particular value to the configuration for a particular extension, but yes you would have to specify the key for each tenant that installs the extension. developer.q2.com has tools built in to make this an easy process.

Hope this helps,

Hi, Trey~ Thanks for your patient answer.

There is another question, how do I get the SSN of the currently logged in user in uux_payload.js? I am referring to the code here, but the userData obtained in the login hook function does not have the SSN I want.
