Using Caliper API, how can I process a transaction in background to aggregate a report?

We would like to be able to get offline events of new transactions that are posted to a user's account for background processing of our custom report aggregate without the user being activly logged in. Not sure I see how that can be achived via the Caliper API...

Hi Paul,

Q2 online banking does not currently have a process for "events" of new transactions. We do produce "near real time" alerts via custom procedures that ping the core on a regular basis for updates and download new transactions in order to alert users based on their settings. We also do nightly transaction aggregation from the core, typically.

Therefore you will probably need to create a periodic entrypoint which can be scheduled daily and retrieve relevant transactions:
https://docs.q2developer.com/docs/tutorials/periodic/index.html

Note that every FI has a unique setup so it's worth discussing the details of a particular FI you're working with, and for that you can submit a support ticket.

Thanks,
Mark
