Embedding an external site in an iframe within the Q2 Online environment

Is there a way to embed an external site in an iframe in the widgets section ie the right hand side and or bottom of the page without having to add two iframes? Similar to SSO extensions but where the placement can be where tecton widgets are located?

Yes it is possible but there are some requirements that need to be met by the exterbal site.

The setup and requirements are discussed here:

Do I have to setup a custom tecton configuration for this to work? I've followed the steps in the guide but still see the original front end widget. I'm trying to setup an embeded site that does not require authentication first.

"additionalDomains" does need to be added to your config. Not sure I understand what you mean by "still see the original front end widget"... But around "does not require authentication first" would be more of a function about your authentication mechanism (SAML, OIDC, HMAC, etc). If you want to get together and discuss some specifics, go ahead and open up a ticket and we can get on a call.
