VENDOR_CONFIGS with or without DbConfigList?

What is the difference in using these two methods for setting VENDOR_CONFIGS? Or is it do the same either way? Does anything happen differently on installation?

VENDOR_CONFIGS = DbConfigList(
    [
        DbConfig('ACS_URL', 'https://sptest.iamshowcase.com/acs'),
        DbConfig('IDP_ENTITY_ID', 'https://stack.q2developer.com/sdk/example/ardent/uux.aspx'),
        ...
    ]
)

AND

VENDOR_CONFIGS = {

				'ACS_URL': 'https://sptest.iamshowcase.com/acs',
        'IDP_ENTITY_ID': 'https://stack.q2developer.com/sdk/trabian/ardent/uux.aspx#',
}

Both of these in their current written form are the same, however the bottom code is the older way to write this and is left in for backwards compatibility.

The top section allows for additional functionality for a description and making it required:

Will the q2 create_extension command and creating an SSO extension be updated to use the new version using DbConfigList?

Thanks for the info and link to documentation!
