Identifying the Financial Institution Within the Extension: snippet needed

Dear Staff:

We need to identity the financial institution of the logged user in order to use it for the Rev Share Report.

Is there any attribute of the self.online_user that can be used for that?

If not, what DB Object has the financial ID/name?
If there is a DB Object with such info, how can it be access from within the context of the Extension request?

We have already looked at the Q2 SDK doc and could not find an object/attribute that clearly identifies the FI and can accessed within the request context.

Thank you!

Hi,

The extension can be installed to multiple FI's the best way to identify the FI is to add the wedge_config field if it's a client-side extension or vendor_config if it is an SSO extension. the wedge configs /vendor configs will be saved in DataBase .so during deployment you can update the extension-related key and perform business logic over it.

Thanks,

Swarup's suggestion is a good one and easy enough to support if you need a specific value for each FI. But, if you just need a unique idetifier then we would suggest using the FI's ABA. The FI's ABA is available in self.hq_credentials.aba
