How do I store a flag to check if confetti already displayed in a given month?

We're looking to display confetti in our extension when users meet certain requirements on a specific product every month. I'm thinking of using a flag to check whether or not the confetti displays for a user in a given month, but I'm unsure of how to store it for each user/the product. Is there a DbObject I can use to store the flag? I was also thinking about storing the flag in the cache, but this might not be too reliable considering that the flag might need to be stored for long periods (up to a month). Is there an alternative way to store this flag?

Thank you!

Hello,

I recommend using https://docs.q2developer.com/docs/api_references/q2_sdk/db/db_objects/user_data.html#q2_sdk.hq.db.user_data.UserData

As a general rule, using the cache to store anything that is user specific between sessions is not recommended.
