Currently this is not used and not needed. We will remove this from being required. For now, you can just put a random value in this to cause it to work.

What is the point of amount in createRecipient
For create recipient, I have to specify amount. Why is that? I'm already specifying the amount when I create a transaction. I assume you can reuse the recipient id to send multiple transactions to, so if that is the case, I'm confused on what that number is supposed to do.
