Add a Customer Account through Q2 API

I have been able to create a create a customer, user and user logon through the Q2 Api documentatation (https://docs.q2developer.com/api_references/hq_api/q2_api/index.html) I have now been trying to figure out how to add an account to that customer/user so that when I logon an account is displayed on the home screen. I have tried adding a Recipient and RecipientAccount without any luck as well as an External Account. From here the accounts do not display. I then tried to use the AddAccountAssociation but run into errors of not have an existing node.
Is there a way to do this through the Q2 Api? I can create and link an account from the command line but would like to get away from that method.

Cameron, I have not performed this action yet, so this is merely a suggestion to try. Looking at the account object, there are two keys "DisplayOrder" and "UserDisplayOrder". I'm wondering if you need to give one of them a value in order for the account to 'display' on the user's dashboard?

Hello Cameron,

Attaching an account to a new user should be done through either the AddAccountAssociation HQ method, or with the Linked Account DbObject. I believe the answers in this question will help with discovering those methods and how to call them.

Recipient and Recipient accounts deal with wires and other transactions, and are not applicable here.

Let me know if there are other questions regarding this.

Hello Paden,
I am able to use the AddAccountAssociation but am still missing some details on the account. Is there a way that I am able to create a new account? With the account association it is looking at associating an existing account and I would like to be able to create a new one. The process I am trying to follow is what can be done in the command line with q2_add_new_account. Some missing items that I dont see in in AddAccountAssociation include adding a balance as well as other details that I assume allow the accounts to show on the dashboard. Is there an object or endpoint for ...
